The newest Ford Ranger is garnering plenty of attention in Philadelphia, but that's no surprise. The new model year brings a lot of exciting features and improvements to Ford's midsize truck. You can come down to our Philadelphia lot to see it for yourself, but first, we wanted to highlight some of what you can look forward to.

This midsize pickup is redesigned to offer Center City shoppers better aesthetics, and its front-end styling mimics that of the brand's F-150 model. The truck's body has more contours along the door panels, and its hood is well sculpted. Large C-shaped headlamps are carved into the front-end, and dazzling LEDs are present at the rear.

A more powerful V6 engine is present, as well. The new Ford Ranger also has a reworked interior that hosts a large infotainment system. SYNC® 4A innovation is built into the touchscreen display, which also responds to voice commands. The truck's larger body makes backing up to hitch a trailer easier than before thanks to Pro Trailor Backup Assist. Trailer Brake Controller is also added to help South Philadelphia drivers slow their trailer down more smoothly when traveling at highway speeds.

Daily Use

The new Ford Ranger doesn't stop there as it hosts a tricked-out bed that's equipped with a 400-watt outlet. It doesn't hurt to also have bed lighting. Some of the available trims come with integrated bed steps for convenience. This truck is a force thanks to its 2.7-liter EcoBoost® engine. This V6 cranks out 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The brand's SelectShift technology is built into a 10-speed automatic transmission for smoother gear changes.

The new Ranger can take some punishment thanks to its high-strength frame. Off-roading is handled smoothly with the standard trims, but the Raptor trim easily handles the roughest of environments around Manayunk thanks to its all-terrain functions. The Raptor trim sits 10.7 inches above the ground, and it comes equipped with Fox shocks.

This four-door truck also comes with a Terrain Management System. Pennsport drivers can select various settings, including modes for Sport, Slippery, Eco and Tow. Other features include smartphone integration, wireless charging and SiriusXM® radio.
